Day 13-14

Day 13. After spending the day before 19hrs pretty much on a bus touring the waterfalls and the pyramids I didn’t think I get up early. Well my dumb ass forgot to put the do not disturb pass on my door so 8am came and that annoying sound from outside the door was saying in Spanish room service.  I told her no

gracias but it was too late I was up so Fuck it time to start my way south to Guatemala. Today was the actual day of Mexico independence day so once I was dressed and packed and on my bike it was probably 930am  and instantly became rerouted from what my GPS said cause there was a parade going on. I was detour for 15min or so and then finally put back on the correct path. Rode for probably 2hrs and then again another parade was going on smaller one in this small town but held me up a bit.  Got back riding for another hour again stopped but this time there again was a bunch of people standing on the left side of the road so I’m thinking fucking hell the cartel again (prior to this I know American disappeared somewhere in chiapas) so I’m like OK here we go again. I see like ten guys just start running to different cars but they all get in. And just take off so I’m like phew policia must be coming but as soon as traffic starts going I realized they were just watching the parade going on and when it finished they were running back to the cars so they don’t back traffic up anymore so off we go again n not long after I get to the end of Mexico I had to stop at the office to check out my bike and the immigration office to my outgoing stamp I keep moving on 2 miles up the road and go through this just 2 way door way and then it says welcome to Guatemala. (well

God Damn that was easy) I get stop my bike gets quarantined aka sprayed with some Shit I pay. I move on to immigration I get stamped I move on to customs give them my paper work for the bike I get my registration for Guatemala and less than a hour I’m on my way through Guatemala. Now entering Mexico was no thing I don’t it a million times but getting into Guatemala was absolutely exhilarating. I probably smiled for the next 2hours inside

my helmet thinking I’m really doing this Damn thing. So I ended the day in Antigua Guatemala after 9hrs of riding. Antigua is a small cobblestone city that I been to last July with my boy Willis. It’s A beautiful little city that was demolished like 30yrs ago from a earthquake but it’s such a rad place worth visiting obviously I came back for a second time. I Get some Chinese food and when I’m there these ausi couples start asking about where I’m from and my trip we bullshit for like 30mins and say our good byes I get on WiFi and book my hotel that night. Day14 I Wake up the next morning and set out to El Salvador I been to Guatemala like I mentioned last year for 2 weeks  so had no real reason to stay any longer.  I go through Guatemala city so traffic is Shit get through it drive a bit and about to go up this big Hill through the country side so I go swerve around this car and boom hear I am doing a one man wobble trying to keep the bike up. So what happened here I didn’t take in consideration of my bags so I clipped the van in front of me didn’t drop old Betty Beam actually kept her up. Lady gets out  I say  mucho lo siento (very sorry). She looks at her bumper and does the whatever hand gesture she gets back in I continue to go around her and off I go. I get to the El Salvadorian border

within 2hrs there’s trucks in line I say Fuck this and drive around them all (this time being way more aware of my side bags) get near the front where a guy yells to follow him. He is wearing normal street clothes but says give me your Guatemala registration I do he takes off the other direction comes back with a copy gives it to this guy and we go to the next window he ask for my passport give that to him he takes that they make a copy of my stamp we go to the next window were he ask for my title (which I photo shopped my name into) drivers license (which I don’t own a motorcycle license let alone a driver’s license so had that photoshopped as well) hand both to  him the guy takes the copies then go to this other window where a guy comes out looks to see if title matches the Vin and license plate I fill out some paper he gives me a paper with a sticker on it in return and then have to go to another guy who looks at that paper and gives me the go ahead to enter so after 2hrs I’m allowed to go into El Salvador but really did nothing this guy did everything for me I throw him 20$ and I’m on my way to San Salvador. After about a hour I arrive at my hotel and well the hotel

apparently has not had WiFi so they have not received any reservations and unfortunately there booked full. So I ask where can I go to eat and get WiFi he says there’s a McDonald’s. Now it’s been 2 weeks and I have yet to eat the US embassy aka McDonald’s (not cause I haven’t seen them it’s just Mexico food is that God Damn good I don’t crave it like I do in America) so my eyes light up and I’m on my happy ass go lucky way to the embassy I order me a good old double cheeseburger meal with a smile I scurry to my seat settle in get the WiFi and indulge like the first time I went to the whore house in Tijuana. Happy as baby sucking on a tit for milk I book another hotel for 38$ across the street from the other one.  I finished up my McDonald’s got another burger to go and back to same spot but across the street I check into my new hotel. Get to my room and try to figure out what to do the next day. Nothing sounds interesting to me but there was a waterfall I was referred to on Facebook but that’s a hour an half the other direction so guess when in doubt head to the beach.  It began to storm outside around 9pm so I’m like fuck might have to stay here but guess I’ll figure it out in the morning so I uploaded my last diary and called it a night.
